Read how source revisions, local interfaces and virtual hardware define what an engineering claim can establish.

Key idea

An engineering claim is useful when its evidence and limits can be inspected together. These systems connect local interfaces, reproducible examples and dated source revisions to the questions they can answer. Begin with a project to understand its boundary, then compare the longer explanations with the smaller engineering notes. The diagrams describe selected interfaces; the pinned sources preserve the documentation reviewed for each claim. Captured examples provide a narrower kind of evidence and retain their own capture dates. A virtual peripheral does not establish physical hardware behavior, just as one rendered observation does not establish every behavior of an engine.
